Start with the service the customer wants
Use a name customers recognise. A cleaning company might separate office cleaning from end-of-tenancy cleaning because the premises, scope and buying questions differ. Do not create several near-identical pages merely to change a keyword or location.
State what you provide and who can use it in the opening paragraph. Then explain the information a buyer needs before contacting you. Our website cost guide explains how individual service pages differ from a single services overview.
Make the scope concrete
- What work or deliverables are included?
- Which situations, customers or premises does the service suit?
- What is excluded or quoted separately?
- What affects the price or timing?
- Which details does the customer need to supply?
Replace broad promises such as “complete solutions” with the work you actually perform. If you cannot publish a fixed price, explain what determines the quotation. Use examples that are clearly illustrative, and publish client work or testimonials only when you have authentic evidence and permission.
Answer the questions that delay enquiries
Use the questions your team hears during calls and quotations. A visitor may need to know whether you cover their location, can handle their situation or offer the particular work they need. Answer those points near the relevant service detail, rather than hiding everything in a general FAQ.
Keep claims current. If a service depends on an authority’s decision, explain your role and the authority’s role separately. Give dated requirements a review date and link to the official source. A useful article can cover a longer question; the service page should still explain the work customers can hire you to do.
Link the service to useful articles
Link from a relevant paragraph to a guide that answers the next question. Use descriptive link text so visitors know where the link goes. Link back from that article to the service when it is useful to the reader. Google’s SEO starter guide recommends useful content and clear links.
Google’s AI search guidance also emphasises useful, distinctive content and foundational SEO. That does not guarantee an AI mention, and guidance for Google’s features should not be presented as a promise about every AI platform.
Ask for enough information to follow up
Place an enquiry action after the opening explanation and again when readers have seen the scope. For several services, let the visitor choose the service and show the questions relevant to it. A short initial form can collect name, email and contact number, with additional situation details optional.
Check the form on a phone and verify that accepted enquiries reach the right inbox. Measure submissions separately from button clicks using the lead tracking approach. Our company website service includes service-specific enquiry questions and source tracking in the Business package.
